The Kirkland Lake Gold Property is a high potential, drill ready gold project located in the Kirkland Lake Mining Camp and within the Larder Lake – Cadillac Deformation Zone
The Larder Lake – Cadillac Deformation Zone hosts the Matachewan, Kirkland Lake, Larder Lake, Noranda, Cadillac, Milartic and Val d’Or Gold Camps.
Approximately 46 kilometers of detailed geological mapping and MaxMin surveying, accompanied by magnetic surveys have been performed. This exploration defined 17 drill targets designated as “A” to “Q” (see map). These were identified as optimum combinations of coincident and associated Max-Min conductors, favorable magnetic signatures, MMI soil anomalies and associated with faulting, alteration zones, and/or quartz-Fe-carbonate veins.
An initial grab sample graded 19.70 gAu/tonne. 2017 hand stripping of this showing exposed intense banded, pyritic albite alteration grading 14.04 g Au/tonne over 0.40m. This showing was resampled by MNDM returning 8.02 gAu/tonne over 0.61 meters.
The consistency of gold grade indicates a very low nugget effect. A low nugget effect would simplify future resource calculations and reduce definition drilling costs.
The property is available for option for progressive mineral exploration and hopefully mine development.
