KirklandGold.com – The 2nd Mile Property Viewer

The Eby–Otto property lies in the Kirkland Lake gold camp, where nine mines on the Kirkland Lake break produced more than 23 million ounces of gold. It has been explored by the same families since about 1980. About $855,000 of assessment work has been approved on the property and nearby ground since 1994 (every program, with its public report).

Timeline

  1. About 1980 – Jim Reed cuts the first grid and maps, trenches and runs VLF and radiometric surveys.
  2. 1994–1996 – Doug Robinson and the Reeds cut a new grid and complete 1:1000 geological mapping, ground magnetics and MaxMin electromagnetics, partly funded by the Ontario Prospectors Assistance Program.
  3. 1995–1999 – Robinson also explores the Eby West and Otto Horne-Robinson ground on either side; that ground later lapses (see former ground).
  4. 1996–1998 – The property is optioned to Nastek Exploration; the option ends after the Lands for Life park proposal.
  5. 2012–2013, 2016–2018 – MMI soil geochemistry surveys, with First Nations consultation.
  6. 2017 – Cut samples at the Reed showing return 14.04 g Au/mT over 0.40 m (see sampling results).
  7. 2018 – The claims are converted from legacy claims to cell claims under Ontario’s online Mining Lands Administration System.
  8. 2021 – FERA UAV flies a drone magnetic and photo survey; stripping exposes the G vein. In July the property is optioned to Canada Silver Cobalt Works.
  9. 2022 – The optionee flies a second drone magnetic survey, runs a 3D induced-polarization survey (Dias Geophysical) and drills hole EO-22-004 to 969 m in the west of the property.
  10. 2024 – The optionee, renamed Nord Precious Metals Mining, ends the option. The property returns to its owners free of the option, with assessment credits in good standing.
  11. 2025 – Kirkland Gold presents the property at the Ontario Exploration and Geoscience Symposium.
  12. 2026 – Forty years of work goes digital:
    • Every handwritten report digitised. Field notes, hand-drawn maps, walking-magnetometer sheets and lab certificates are scanned, placed on the map and keyed in, each value tied to its source.
    • An AI-assisted analysis program. Every survey is scored against Doug Robinson’s gold signs and checked against his proposed holes. It has already flagged a possible new showing and new data not yet released to any investor – being checked in the field, investors first (not yet confirmed).
    • The aerial drone magnetics in 3D. The 2021 survey becomes a 3D model you can fly through, beneath the Reed showing.
    • The Property Viewer. Every claim, showing, sample and survey on one map, in 1D, 2D and 3D, with guided tours.
    • 546 assessment reports catalogued, 1949 to 2025, each with its public record and report (reports on file).
    • Lab certificates traced back to the headline results, including the provincial lab’s confirmation of the ministry geologist’s sample.
    • The land position mapped against Ontario’s claim records (October 2026), from the camp to the close-up at Baldwin.
    • An investor data room with sign-in, and investor applications online.
  13. Today – The property is open to an investor. The Reed showing has never been drill-tested.
