In short
We collect only what you send us and what we need to run the site. We do not sell or share your information, and we do not use advertising cookies. One anonymous cookie tells us which parts of the site get used.
What we collect
- Email and phone calls: when you email or call us, we keep your name, contact details and message. We use them only to answer you and to arrange site visits. The site itself has no contact form.
- Investor accounts: investors we give access to have a user name and email. When a signed-in investor opens a protected document, we record the user name, the document and the internet address. We also log investor activity on the site – visits, pages and what was used, such as map layers – and whether our emails to applicants and investors were opened or their buttons clicked, to improve the site and to support you. Trails of pages are cleared after 12 months.
- Server logs: like every web server, ours keeps short technical logs (internet address, page, time, browser) to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies
- A sign-in cookie, only for investors and owners who sign in.
- A security cookie that protects forms from misuse.
- A view setting for signed-in users who switch between views.
- An anonymous visit id, so we can see which pages, maps and documents get used and for how long. It holds no name, email or internet address, isn't shared, and is kept up to 13 months. Owners are never counted.
The first three are needed for the site to work. None track you across other sites.
Outside services
Some pages load content from other services, which receive your internet address when they do:
- Fonts and icons from Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare).
- Videos from YouTube, embedded in its privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) mode.
- Map backgrounds in the Property Viewer from OpenStreetMap, Esri and the Ontario government's map service.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep messages for as long as we are talking with you about the property. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
